Saturday 10th September 2022

Hello!

You are just one step away from potentially making a difference to someone's life; you might even be changing your own! By signing up for Bromswold Bike Fest you are, to all intents and purposes, making a donation to our charities, so thank you.

All you need to do is send an email [bromswoldbikefest@gmail.com] to tell us the name and address of each participant (and their age if they are under 18) and route each person wants to cycle.

For organisational purposes, we would be most grateful if you could let us know by Thursday 8th September if you wish to ride a route, but we will never turn away entrants on the day! Please note that an Entry Form (see below for link) is required to be presented to our Registration Desk on the day.

Entry Fee
  • 2, 8 & 14 miles:   £5 per adult or £10 per family group
  • 24 & 32 miles:     £15 per adult / £5 child
  • 56 miles:             £20 per adult
  • 72 miles:             £20 per adult
Payment can be made in cash, by cheque and credit/debit card payments. However, please do remember to bring some cash with you on the day to spend on food and entertainment.

Entry Forms
For our insurance purposes, all participants are required to complete an entry form. This must be presented to our Registration Desk on the day prior to you commencing your ride. Please download and complete an entry form, print it out and bring it with you at registration to save time on the day. An entry form is to be completed for participants of all ages.

Click here to download your printable entry form here!

(Entry forms will also be available at Registration on the day.)

NB:  Conditions of entry:
  • There is no minimum (or maximum) age limit, however the minimum age for unaccompanied children is 13. Children aged 13 to 17 may participate unaccompanied if they have parental permission and a signed Parental Consent form. There is no lower age limit if accompanied by a responsible adult acting in loco parentis but a signed Parental Consent form is still needed. Please note: there will be a photographer on site all day. Unless we are informed otherwise, the signed entry form also serves as our consent to free/fair use of media form.
  • Please wear a cycle helmet - this is mandatory for ALL participants.
  • Your bike must be in a roadworthy condition.
  • REMEMBER this is not a race.  Be a good advert for cycling and show consideration for other road users.
  • Some of the roads are narrow with rough edges and in places it may be necessary to dismount from your bike to allow large vehicles to pass.
  • Never ride more than two abreast and drop back to single file if there is traffic wishing to pass you, particularly on narrow roads.
  • Do not attempt any dangerous passing.
  • It is forbidden to cross the centre line of the road unless turning right or avoiding a hazard.
  • Keep a safe distance between you and other cyclists at all times, as some may be inexperienced.
  • Don't go mad down hills, please signal any intention to turn left or right and don't stop suddenly; there may be traffic directly behind you.
  • Please do not ask supporters to drive along the course (unless they are coming to rescue you!)
  • You MUST bring a full water bottle and any necessary medication with you.
