You are just one step away from potentially making a difference to someone's life; you might even be changing your own! By signing up for Bromswold Bike Fest you are, to all intents and purposes, making a donation to our charities, so thank you!
Sign Up... All you need to do is send an email [email@example.com] to tell us the name and address of each participant (and their age if they are under 18) and route each person wants to cycle.
For organisational purposes (a.k.a our sanity), we would be most grateful if you could let us know by Thursday 6 June if you wish to 'ride the route' but we will never turn away entrants on the day! Please note that an Entry Form is required to be presented to our Registration Desk on the day.
There is no 'set' participation fee but we do ask for a suggested donation on the day:
6 & 13 miles: £5 per adult or £10 per family group
26 & 35 miles: £10 per adult / £5 child
52 miles: £15 per adult
71 miles: £20 per adult
Entry Forms For our insurance purposes, all participants are required to complete anentry form. This must be presented to our Registration Desk on the day prior to you commencing your ride.Download and complete your entry form to save time on the day.The Entry formis for adults (over 18). The Parental Consent Formmust be completed for any cyclist under the age of 18.
(Entry forms will also be available at Registration on the day.)
NB: Conditions of entry:
There is no minimum (or maximum) age limit, however the minimum age for unaccompanied children is 13. Children aged 13 to 17 may participate unaccompanied if they have parental permission and a signed Parental Consent form. There is no lower age limit if accompanied by a responsible adult acting in loco parentis but a signed Parental Consent form is still needed. Please note: there will be a photographer on site all day. Unless we are informed otherwise, the signed entry form also serves as our consent to free/fair use of media form.
Please wear a cycle helmet - this is mandatory for those under 18.
Your bike must be in a roadworthy condition.
REMEMBER this is not a race. Be a good advert for cycling and show consideration for other road users.
Some of the roads are narrow with rough edges and in places it may be necessary to dismount from your bike to allow large vehicles to pass.
Never ride more than two abreast and drop back to single file if there is traffic wishing to pass you, particularly on narrow roads.
Do not attempt any dangerous passing.
It is forbidden to cross the centre line of the road unless turning right or avoiding a hazard.
Keep a safe distance between you and other cyclists at all times, as some may be inexperienced.
Don't go mad down hills, please signal any intention to turn left or right and don't stop suddenly; there may be traffic directly behind you.
Please do not ask supporters to drive along the course (unless they are coming to rescue you!)
You MUST bring a full water bottle and any necessary medication with you.
